Ipad 2 32gb Wifi 3g

iPad 2 32GB wifi & 3G - CyprusLove.com

Comparing any tablet to an Apple tablet (in this case, the iPad 2) was, up to this point, pretty much a waste of time. Even with other brands offering reduced prices, none have even come close to the iPad or iPad 2. Meet the first to be able to do so - the Kindle Fire.

The Kindle Fire is smaller than the iPad 2 - seven-inch screen compared to 9.7-inches. Screen resolution is about the same at 1024 X 600 for the Kindle and 1024 X 768 for the Apple's screen. However, the Fire's price is much smaller to at an unheard of release of 9. In today's economy, this is quite a big draw. The iPad 2 starts at 9. Not many single moms or students who usually have access to that large amount of cash. That has often been what has lead many to search for an Apple alternative.

A big difference is also the cameras or lack thereof. The iPad 2 wins here, as it has two cameras, while the Amazon Kindle Fire has none. One camera is for still photos and the other is for video chat. Many people do not use their tablet to take photos, but if they do video chat a lot, then this could be a drawback. The iPad 2 also has a microphone obviously, while the Fire does not.

Storage and memory are things that electronics consumers really look at. The iPad 2 offers a choice of memory options - 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. Amazon's device only has 8GB, yet they are offering unlimited Cloud storage on Amazon servers. The Fire does have a microSD slot. IPad 2 operates in WiFi or 3G. The Fire must have WiFi access in order to use all of its features and to stay connected. If it's the apps that offer the most appeal on a tablet device, then the iPad 2 may be the way to go as it offers access to about 90,000 apps. The Fire offers access to around 17,000. Yet, there is the incomparable access to tons of Kindle books and Amazon's huge library of streaming movies and TV shows. Greater portability is offered with Amazon's tablet at a featherweight 14.6 oz compared to Apple's at 1.33 lbs. The Fire does not offer GPS service, mostly due to the WiFi issue.

Battery life is relatively the same: Fire - 8 hours, iPad2 - 10 hours. The Kindle Silk browser on the Fire is super fast as it runs the most taxing loading parts of a webpage and loads them on the Amazon Cloud servers.

When it comes to the battle in deciding which tablet to choose, the Kindle Fire or the iPad 2, it may simply come down to price, size, and portability. They both offer numerous choices and options when it comes to apps, streaming, reading, etc. But one is slightly bigger and much heavier, one is cheaper and one is quite expensive, and one offers dual cameras that include photo and video options while the other does not.

If you plan to use the camera, or some of the fancy new garage band apps, you should probably get the iPad 2. The iPad 2 is twice as fast, so you can expect newer apps to be taking advantage of that.

    iPad 2….. 16 or 32GB, 3G or just WiFi?
Ok so I’m going to get an iPad 2.
Should I get the 16 or 32GB? I don’t want to run out of memory and I probably won’t be buying another (like when the 3 comes out, etc.) So which would be better? I plan to keep most of my music on my iPod, so it would mostly be for photos, books, internet, apps, etc.

Also, just WiFi or with the 3G? I will mostly be using it at home, I’m getting it to mostly replace my laptop, so it will be my primary source for internet. Most places I will have it will have WiFi, but is it worth it to get the 3G and just activate it in the future?

Please help!!! It would help if some people could tell me their experiences!!!
When I said “replace my laptop” I mostly meant that it’s getting old and has problems so I’m only going to be using it for like documents, games, etc. I mostly use it for internet now, so why buy another whole laptop for just the internet so that’s why I want the iPad.

If you think you’ll have a lot of things to put on there e.g. apps, books etc, I’d say get the 32GB one, then you know you have the maximum amount of space and won’t run out!

I think if you’re gonna be mainly at home using it, it’d be a waste to get the 3G, because you can use wifi for free. I think people who get the 3G version are people who are mostly places without free wifi, because of work or other commitments. I’d say save you’re money, if its not absolutely necessary to get 3G

Love the new iPad, saving up now! Xx

I get the 2 with wifi. Then, if I wanted 3g, I’d get a portable wifi hotspot from Virgin or Clear with an unlimited data plan.

    iPad 2 16GB 3G vs 32GB Wifi Only.?
I’m going to buy an iPad 2 tomorrow and need help choosing the Storage size.
Okay So Here’s What I’ll be storing in My iPad.

Pictures: A lot of pictures, Like, A LOT. I don’t know how much, but I’ll give a rough estimate of about 30 Pictures a day now, and when educational season begins, 10 pictures. I will also be taking any image I like from the web.

Music: I won’t have much, maybe 200 songs.

Video: I will be carrying many movies. I’d say I’ll be downloading about 1 every other week. But when I get it tomorrow I’ll probably load 2 or 3. I will have about 10-15 Music Videos.

Writing: I will have Pages and will be typing stuff here and there. I will use notes a lot too. Maybe a page of two per week.

Web: I will be saving Safari Pages many times, but after I view them I will delete them, so I guess this isn’t really taking up space.

Apps: Not much, maybe 25-35 apps. (Can you recommend some apps too?)

Books: I’ll buy a book every month, I’m not much of a reader, but I do read anything that is highly recommended.

Yes, that’s a little of what I’ll be saving to it.

    May you recommend:

    Cases, Apps, Covers, Books etc.

Oh and I do travel alot but if I where to get let’s say verizon would I be able to use 3G in Europe?

You don’t have to pay for 3g service if you don’t want to. 25 bucks plus tax for 2 gig of data, which is alot. $15 for 250 mb which may be plenty if you don’t do movies on the network. You sign up from the IPad itself, when you want to , or not. You would have to cancel manually or it renews every month.

If you do your major downloading in a wifi area, it will not cost you any data and you might get by with the smaller plan. You choose your company when you buy it because the chips are different and I would bet the verizon one won’t work overseas because it is a different digital “language” where as the at&t is the same language with a different “accent” and I don’t know if it will work over there.

Only 3g units have GPS. Very handy, and google maps is built in.

I got the big one (64) but only a small fraction is filled. I don’t really watch movies on it, that would take up the most space.
